Based on the work of Carl Jung, our Insights® team building workshops help colleagues understand one another’s working styles and how they interact. This allows them to communicate and collaborate more effectively.
Insights workshops help existing teams reflect and improve on how they relate to one another. They are also especially good for senior managers. This is because understanding employee working styles, stressors and motivations, can help your managers get the best out of everyone on your team.
We offer virtual and on-site Insights® team building workshops to suit you. All workshops can be booked as standalone events or integrated with virtual, outdoor or indoor team building events. Contact us to find out more!
At your Insights® team building workshop, you’ll be greeted by an accredited trainer. They’ll cover what you can expect from the workshop and how the session will proceed.
Next, you’ll be taught about the tool and put into real-life scenarios to uncover your working style. For example, if you were creating a TV advert, would your focus be the on-screen information or the ‘look’ and the music? …This may not seem important but who is the advert for and how can you appeal to this audience?
These informative activities will draw out your preferences and identify your personality profile. Insights Discovery® uses a simple four colour model, as follows:
Blues are precise, deliberate and analytical. They deliver quality work, but are stressed by lack of structure, planning and clarity.
Reds are driven, competitive, strong-willed individuals who like to take charge. They’re stressed by indecision, lack of focus and loss of control.
Yellow types are sociable, enthusiastic and persuasive. They’re often full of inventive solutions for problems. However, they dislike seriousness and lack of flexibility at work.
Greens are caring, relaxed and encouraging individuals who champion cooperation. They’re stressed by interruptions, time pressures and lack of consideration for others.
This four colour model will give you a way of identifying similarities and differences between you and your colleagues. It’ll also give you a common language for discussing problems when they arise, and what you can do to fix them.
Next, we’ll look at how you can use Insights® to build a better team. We’ll look at how each profile responds in real-life scenarios and how they interact with one another.
We’ll discuss how you can maximise your strengths and minimise your weaknesses. For example, if you’re a green leader, you may perform better if you balance your caring side with holding your reports to account.
So too, we’ll help you understand what stresses and motivates different team members and how to get the most out of them. For example, if you have a red employee, motivate them by giving them the lead and ensuring you don’t micro-manage.
Our Insights Discovery® team building workshops give your team a fresh perspective on how they can best work together. Here’s what you can expect from them after the workshop:
Our Insights® workshops can also be customised to focus on particular areas, such as change management, leadership and communication.
