In this workshop, our accredited trainer will help you identify the Belbin® Team Roles you and your team members play in your organisation. You’ll examine how different roles respond under pressure and how they like to be managed.
By understanding each role’s strengths and weaknesses, you can harness Belbin® to improve your existing team, build an exceptional new team and manage others effectively.
Our Belbin® team building workshops can be provided virtually or in person. They can be booked as standalone sessions or paired with indoor, outdoor and virtual team building events. Get in touch for more information.
Your Belbin® team building workshop will begin with a warm welcome from our accredited trainer. They’ll explain the itinerary for the day and the purpose of your workshop.
Next, you’ll complete a series of engaging exercises. These are designed to help you understand the 9 different Belbin® Team Roles and the role you occupy in your own team.
Each Belbin® Team Role has its strengths and weaknesses. And, for a team to be effective, it has to have the right mixture. So, the next step in our workshop is to frame how Belbin® can be used at work.
We’ll discuss how different roles interact in real-life scenarios and cover how to lay the foundation for them to work best together. You may spot areas of overlap and potential conflict, allowing you to address them before they affect your business. You may also spot gaps that need to be filled to improve your team performance.
Workshops can also cover how different roles respond to stress, change and management styles, depending on your needs.
Our Belbin® workshops are highly customisable. We can design a workshop to address a problem you’re having, build a new taskforce or train your senior managers. Simply tell us what you need and we’ll do the rest!

We can offer Introduction to Belbin® Team Roles and bespoke Applied Belbin® Team Roles workshops. The latter are designed to build on the learning from the introductory workshop and apply it to your own team in the most helpful ways.
“EML were great to work with, really responsive & flexible. Our team was in need of some quality time together having been working from home for so long. Neil’s excellent facilitation helped us to learn more about each other, strengthen our connections, and build some shared goals in a really fun and safe way.”
